I’ve always been curious about what happens when the excitement from the boudoir photography experience fades.  Do people still look at their photos?  Are they still excited?  Is there a lasting effect form the photo shoot?  I got to have these questions answered recently by Maren.  Her session was almost a year ago.

Do you still look at your photos?

All the time!

Did your session change anything about the way you see yourself?  Was that a lasting effect?

Yes, it made me more comfortable with my body as a whole, because I now have photos of a side of me that typically won’t get photographed!

Did you noticed any changes between the two of you after your session?

Yes, he wouldn’t leave me alone! But in all seriousness yes, because i was more comfortable in my body, I was a lot more comfortable with my husband.

Blanche came in to our studio to create a boudoir book as a gift for her fiancé on their wedding day.  We created art that she loves so much she ended up getting the album AND some wall art!  I can’t wait to see her images in print form!

What was your biggest fear before the session? Did your fear come true, and if not, what happened instead?
I was worried that the shoot would not be tastefully done. This fear did NOT come true. I felt comfortable having both the husband and wife team there! I was worried that because the session is for my fiancé and has sexual undertones that it may be
cheapened in a way. This was totally not the case. I felt confident and comfortable the whole time and felt really good about
myself. Continue reading →

Katy applied for our model call.  In her words, it was a “what the hell, it couldn’t hurt” kinda thing.  Later she said that she didn’t expect to get picked at all (which is what everyone has said so far, lol).  It was an immediate yes for us.  Her reasoning sold us completely on the idea and we wanted to help her in her mission to educate people that just because she’s in a wheelchair doesn’t mean she’s not sexy.  She is HELLA sexy!  As shown in the photos.  😉   Continue reading →

©2013 Breathless Boudoir | Jen & Max Trombly“Oh my God” she said, then a sharp intake of air.  A sniffle from Max.  I knew the waterworks were knocking on my eyelids.  Karen had her hands to her face almost the whole time she was seeing her photos for the first time.  As she wiped her eyes my tears spilled over.  I glanced at Max to see him wiping away tears as well. Meet Bobbi, she’s “a wife, mom, and a high school math teacher, so I am very, very busy. We also have a farm, so I also keep busy taking care of the animals.”  She did her session as a gift to her husband, he’s an offshore worker and they spend a lot of time apart,so her session for him was a way to keep their intimacy strong.  She had been wanting to do a boudoir session for two years!!!  It was our before and after shots that finally made her do her own session because it showed her “how they can look with real people”.©2013 Breathless Boudoir | Jen & Max Trombly

©2013 Breathless Boudoir | Jen & Max TromblyNo matter what job it is that you work, or what you do in life, from time to time everyone experiences getting caught in a rut.  Well, Max and I recently found ourselves in that rut.  It happens to the best of us, yes, but we’re not allowed to not rock all the time!  We have a job to do and we take it very seriously…. making women feel sexy!  We were getting bored with our studio and shooting the same stuff all the time.  We needed a change, some inspiration, that little UMPH that sparks the life into us and makes us do what we do. Sarah did her boudoir session as a gift for her groom for their wedding.  Right before her session her bridesmaids took her to Miami for a bachelorette party and the poor thing got so sun burnt!  We pushed the session back (because lobster boudoir isn’t very attractive, lol).  Our wonderful makeup artist (Tina with Verde Beauty) helped even out her skin and she looked GORGEOUS!  Absolutely glowing!

We were honored to create a memorable gift for her new husband!!!
