Rendezvous in the city of Sin – Meet me in New Orleans

Do you ever

long to leave everything behind? To get away from the drudgery of work and errands and responsibilities in order to indulge in desires you hardly ever dare whisper aloud?

The Crescent City’s wanton soul is electric.

You cannot walk its streets without feeling the titillating touch of its warm air and savory smells. Its heady jazz is intoxicating, and I dare you to walk the city without hiking your dress a little higher, swaying and sweating to a late night beat that seems to emanate from within the cobblestones themselves.

There is magic here.

A current that pulses with a fierce sensuality that cannot be contained within its glorious architecture. In this place of change and rebirth, there is nothing the city does not see or accept. Here, you are whiskey. You are absinthe. You are both fire and smoke, and no amount of clothes will be able to mask your scorching skin.

And why try to hide at all?

Let it go. Expose yourself. Offer New Orleans what you are scarcely ever able to offer the outside world – your truth laid bare. Let the camera tell your story as you unlock the shackles of your inhibition. This is not a place for secrets, but of revelation. You are a goddess, and every piece of art in the city worships you.

Have a lover you want to share your fantasies with? Bring him. Bring her. Explore the light and shadows your bodies can create together. This is your moment, and you alone decide who gets to witness it.

Will you do it?

Will you step away from everything comfortable in order to dare to be who you want to be? In order to let yourself feel as beautiful as this indomitable city ravished by floods? The answer lies within you already. Let the music of the streets fuel you. This is New Orleans. And you are oh so gloriously you.

That’s what she said…

What was your biggest fear prior to your session?

Fear is something I try to acknowledge and allow myself to feel. My fears prior to this photo shoot consisted of not being able to let go and be sexy on camera. I’ve only had one photography look my whole life-look straight at the camera and smile! I also feared that the photos would not be perfection. I’m a life long perfectionist and want everything I do to be just that way. Once the clothes came off and the photo shoot started, my fear of not feeling sexy vanished and I focused completely on Jen’s directions. I had to release the perfectionism and embrace the real me in that moment. Was I perfect? No but I was still stunning.

What was your favorite part?

It is cliche to say but it is empowering. To know that I am capable of oozing sexuality and showcasing excellent physical condition at my age is uplifting and motivating-hopefully not just to me, but to others as well. I also loved the creative aspect of the photo shoot and experimenting with the human form.

How would you describe your experience to your best friend?

I would say you just have to do this for yourself. Every woman and man should…the experience can not really be described. I would say though that the resulting photographs tell a
story and the process allows you to love and accept your body and spirit completely.

Would you do it again?

In a heartbeat. I want to explore outdoor scenic boudoir photography!

For her FIRST BOUDOIR SESSION, Crystal was nervous about being exposed, uncomfortable and imperfect.  But when she saw her photos and fell in love with them, she realized how in love with the whole experience she was.  So much so, that only five months later she decided to have another boudoir experience, but this time couple’s boudoir with her boyfriend!

LIVE for couple’s sessions, you guys!  I could just live to capture that moment of tension and electricity when couple’s lip’s are mere millimeters apart and the anticipation is building.  I love being part of capturing the love and passion between two people, I feel so fortunate be able to do what I do.

What she said…

What was your biggest fear before the session? Did your fear come true, and if not, what happened instead?

I was afraid of being exposed, uncomfortable, and imperfect but that fear did not come true. As soon as I walked in, I felt very comfortable with the decision to have the photo shoot and with being there. I loved having my hair and makeup done and loved how it looked! Jen made me very comfortable and I didn’t feel exposed at all. My fear of being imperfect went away after I saw the pictures and was amazed.

What was your favorite part of your Breathless Boudoir experience and why?

My favorite part of the experience was seeing the pictures. It was such a great experience to see myself in a completely different way!

How would your describe your experience to your best friend?

It was fantastic and completely worth it! I wanted to do this for myself and my boyfriend. Now that I’ve seen the pictures, I’m going to share them with him, but it’s really a gift for me!

AND THEN…. she came back for more!

That’s what she said…

My favorite part of the session was…

“How comfortable Jen made me feel from the first email exchange we had. She was genuinely excited to work with me and I felt like she quickly understood what I wanted from the photo shoot. Jen is so good at directing, which is key to getting a good photo. She told me exactly what to do and how to pose and I didn’t have to think about it or feel awkward. I felt really good and I had fun while she photographed me. And I don’t like to be photographed normally!”

Her biggest fear…

“That I would feel completely nervous and self-conscious and look really stiff and not sexy in the photos.”

“You seriously blew me away and I just left thinking like “Why didn’t I do this sooner?!?!” You are an amazing human being with a keen eye for tapping into a women’s inner sensuality and capturing it on film. More women should do this, for not only their significant others, but just for themselves. And they should definitely experience themselves in this light with you. You are a gem. I will definitely be throwing my friends your way for photo sessions. I can’t tell you enough how great of an experience that was. And you made me feel and look beautiful. Ahh! I can’t wait to stare at the photos again! Other than my wedding day, I’ve never seen myself look so beautiful in photos. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done to make sure I receive this in time. If you’re brand wasn’t already stellar in eyes, you’ve definitely set the bar even higher for any company I’ve ever worked with. I will definitely be writing all sorts of reviews for you once the cats out the bag and sending everyone I know to you. You never cease to amaze me with your talent, professionalism, and customer service!”

What was your biggest fear before the session?

Did your fear come true, and if not, what happened instead? My biggest fear was dropping my mask. And believe it or not, my fear did come true but I was liberated for it. When I was in my early 20s, I was more in tune with my sensuality and sexuality. But in today society, being so comfortable in one’s skin gets you labeled as a “slut” or “easy.” So as an adult, I’ve tucked that side of myself away and have become more conservative to become a “lady.” Because this session leaves it all to bare, you really can’t hide behind anything because all there is IS your skin. And it forced me to ask myself the hard question: “Why hadn’t I been comfortable in my own skin earlier?”

What was your favorite part of your Breathless Boudoir experience and why?

Jen! As an artist myself, it was fascinating to see her creative process. She’s extremely talented in giving the most mundane directions like “tilt your head, open your mouth wider” and it translates into the most sensual shot.

Yep.  That’s right.  I got to do an outdoor boudoir photo shoot in my yard today. It was actually my front yard, not my backyard.  I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to live on 10 beautiful, serene (and private) acres.  My home is my idea of paradise.  Golden rolling hills dipping down into a refreshing pond that I’ve spent many summer days in.  I love being able to combine my paradise with my passion and create beautiful photos, right here at home.  I didn’t even have to put shoes on for this shoot because I didn’t leave my house!

I looooove couple’s boudoir photography!

It’s a totally different ball game than a solo boudoir session. The focus is turned on to your lover instead of the camera or yourself.  There’s no need for acting to create passion, it’s already there.  And it’s real.  And you just can’t beat that.  It allows you to be seductive and playful with your partner in new ways, ways that you may have never experienced together.  It’s a good reminder of the connection between the two of you.
